Icons: Bai Yu & Zhu Yilong & Friends

Interpreting yet another Guardian Bingo prompt in the absolutely loosest sense possible, hi. 😊 I made an icon set of actors who've worked with Zhu Yilong and/or Bai Yu to fill the Alliance square, using official photoshoots and magazine shots. A little army of beautiful friends, if you will.

» Zhu Yilong



» Ni Ni
Ni Ni has starred with Zhu Yilong in Lost in the Stars (2022), and with Bai Yu in Parallel World (2023). Also, remember those iconic photos of Bai Yu at that Tiffany event in 2018? Ni Ni was there, too! Also also, she and Long-ge shared a stage at the 2021 Weibo Movie Night! And then she was right there to hug him when he got his Golden Rooster in 2022. 🥹




» Mao Xiaotong
Mao Xiaotong starred with Zhu Yilong in The Lost Tomb Reboot (2020), where her character was supposed to be around 20 years younger than Long-ge's (it worked!), and with Bai Yu in Love O2O (2016), The Bond (2021), and The Fated General (never 💀). She still calls Bai Yu da-ge from their time working on The Bond together. <3




» Wang Yang
Wang Yang starred alongside Zhu Yilong in The Rebel (2021) where they made everyone ship it had an unexpected amount of chemistry. They attended this year's Magnolia Awards together (because The Rebel was nominated) and I was having a normal one about it.




» Yang Rong
Yang Rong starred in Memory Lost (2016) with Bai Yu, and in Love for Three Lifetimes (2014) and My Love to Tell You (2016) with Zhu Yilong. When asked to come up with a plot for a drama featuring all three of them, she suggested that she and Bai Yu could be cops chasing Zhu Yilong, who'd then lure Bai Yu into a life of crime, so she'd have to hunt both of them down. I'd watch that so hard. (The whole interview is delightful.)




» Chen Kun
Chen Kun starred in The Wind Blows From Longxi (2022) with Bai Yu and seemed very smitten with his co-star. He also appeared in 1921 (but then, who didn't). Oh hey, Ni Ni is credited as one of the main actors in that one. Full circle!

You and me both, I've been wanting that drama since I first read about her saying this! OMG.

She was so, as the kids say, based for this. Clearly Zhu-laoshi would draw Bai-shu over to his side, I mean look at him. All the kissing would only be implied, of course.
