Wang Yang and Zhu Yilong in Geneva

From his fans' XHS clips and things, it looks like he left Peking on April 6 and arrived in Hangzhou on April 11; Zhu Yilong and his favorite photographer arrived in Geneva on April 9 and left a couple days later.

So. You know. THERE WAS OVERLAP, ELMO IN FLAMES DOT GIF.

In this charming little clip, Wang Yang takes us on a tour through Schaffhausen and, presumably, talks about very expensive watches. About halfway through I think he says Guten Tag? Whatever, I'm charmed. He's so charming!

Zhu Yilong and his entourage went on a little pre-birthday trip in the area (Geneva, Annecy, Vevey) and made a super lovely vlog about it! He seems so relaxed and happy and full of whimsy. <3 (Because his photographer boyfriend was there with him, obviously.) He bought a scarf in a souvenir shop and turned it into a photo prop, I love him. Also, he brought Charlie Chaplin a cake because they share a birthday. <333



I assume he wasn't recognized at all in those small French tourist towns, or not enough for it to be a disruption, so he actually got to relax and have fun, I'm all emoshe about it. 🥲

I love this shaggy hair on Z1L so much and I hope it stays around for a while.

Part of me thinks he had to grow it out to hide the scar, but maybe it was just time to let it be long again for a while. <3

Links appreciated! I am pleased with myself for taking one look at the incredible light on his face in those photos and going "okay, I know who took THIS one."
(I think Zhu Yilong was saying in the Chopard livestream that he'd enjoyed playing at being a watchmaker, and it does sound like a job that would suit him--both art and craft, requiring a lot of concentration and a lot of alone time while at work!)

I love that they gave Wang Yang an overall thingy with his name on. So sweet! He could meet the competition's promising new engineer at an industry event and steal him away for his own lab, in very friendly and appropriate ways. :)))

When those Z1L photos with the ethereal backlighting dropped, I actually gasped. HOW IS HE REAL. I've been staring at the last one all week. Too beautiful.

WANG YANG WAS IN GENEVA, TOO?!?!

HE WAS, I WAS SO EXCITED!!! He must have hung out with his Yilong for a few minutes at least, I refuse to accept otherwise. And he looked SO GOOD in those photos, god. His makeup artist made another post on XHS about the "reading a blank book in the park" shoot, saying he tried to style him like Shen Tunan, hashtag Wind Chaser. :-D

HOW IS HE REAL.

I am starting to feel like we owe Meng Yinan something. Whatever he wants. Flowers, a bottle of whiskey, UNDYING APPRECIATION because seriously, he makes my life better on the near-daily. The soft soft gorgeous nature shots! Also that one closeup where Z1L is peering into a microscope, lips gently parted: sigh. Help.

And wow, I didn't know Wang Yang was also there cosplaying as a watchmaker!

I love when he gets to take pictures of Zhu Yilong in some kind of outdoors setting. You can always tell Z1L is extra relaxed in fresh air. 🥹 (Have added some more links to the post now; case in point!)

Wang Yang stayed in Geneva for like a WEEK. I think he had fun doing touristy stuff, and he looked SMOKING in all the photos.

Oh, I'm glad they lucked out with the weather then, they both seemed to really enjoy walking around those little Swiss slash French towns. 😊
