2024 Fanwork Round-Up

2024 was not a super productive writing year for me, until I dragged myself out of my tiny little comfort zone by watching a new show*! (that wasn't a tomb show!) gasp! and then watching another show** right after that! And then! ANOTHER SHOW***! Oh my god. Entirely unheard of.

So since all of that happened in November and December, I'm including stuff I wrote during my Christmas break, even though some of these were posted in January. (One hasn't been revealed yet, so it'll go into the 2025 batch.) All in all, I wrote 12,000 words across 6 works over the past month, most of them for War of Faith. Didn't get much else done, but hey!

I totally understand about being unable to start new shows; my watchlist isn't even that long (just a handful of things I might want to check out) and I still rarely manage to actually sit down and hit play. These three at the end of last year were such an outlier. But it felt so nice to discover new characters to love and obsess over! 🥰 Otherwise I just watch YouTube things all day. 😄

Hm, I really loved Wicked - I was very happy that they didn't fuck it up. XD (Last week, I finally managed to see the complete German dub after delaying for years and years, and was pleased. XD)

I mostly watched older stuff on Prime because I got a week of it - Challengers was awesome! I also liked Lady Bird and Anatomy of a Fall. All of these had fantastic acting.

Just watched Back in Action, which was okay, as long as one didn't think too much about the plot. XD But it was great seeing Cameron Diaz in a movie again.

Good to know about the Wicked movie and Challengers! Might give those try. And I feel like "as long as one didn't think too much about the plot" describes most of the things I've enjoyed in recent years. 😄

Challengers was definitely one of my favourite movies of last year. It seems to be a bit decisive but the tumblr girlies loved it. XD

sometimes it's just relaxing to watch something simple. XD
